The safari jacket, above all, is the expression of this new trend, in which the real difference is the softness of the materials and a destructured line for greater freedom of movement. Generally speaking, jackets are slimmer, shorter and lighter; blue and white striped or checked double-breasted jackets are extremely elegant for a country-navy style. The navy theme is enhanced both by full denim jackets, veritable work uniforms for seafarers, and by jackets with wooden toggles treated to look brine corroded. Jacket proposals are many and varied, but they all of them refer to the world of sport. For example, those in stretch nylon have a crushed leather effect. The crucial details are zip fastenings and subtly padded shoulders so that the overall effect is a snug fitting garment.
